Workstation Setup Guide
The following items can be provided to new employees:
Monitor screen
Wired headset
Wired keyboard & mouse
USB C hub
USB C power cable
If you opt into all of them, this diagram outlines how they should be connected together:
Your USB C hub will connect everything to your laptop:
Setting up your Monitor
Connect the monitor to power using the supplied power cable.
Use the supplied HDMI cable to connect the monitor to your laptop. Typically the monitor HDMI port can be found on the back. The laptop HDMI port can be found on the left side. If you opted into a USB C hub, plug the HDMI cable into the hub instead of your laptop.
Once the monitor is connected, it should automatically detect your laptop and you will see your laptop screen duplicated/mirrored on the monitor screen.
If you do not see your laptop screen duplicated/mirrored on the monitor screen, check the following:
On your laptop, type ‘display’ in the search bar in your taskbar, then select ‘Duplicate or extend to a connected display’.
Scroll down, under ‘Multiple displays’ select ‘Extend these displays’
Scroll back up, and adjust the arrangement of the screens to match your laptop and monitor screen orientation. Select ‘Apply’ when done to apply changes.
